Recalling MCA Football Coach Dave “Whitey” Williams Story Written By Mr. Kyle Schu Please see the video with it at Today as i recall it and looking back over my years as just a small young coal region proud boy in my very early school years i can never not forget about Mount Area Jr-Sr High School Red Tornado’s know as (MCA) football from 1994 to 2002 where Dave “Whitey” Williams was our football coach for MCA -BIG RED no other football coach has ever touched me so deeply and passion like MCA Football Coach Dave “Whitey” Williams who we all know he loves his football and truly cares for his team as we come to know Dave we come then to know his long history at MCA from 1994 to 2002 that was just so unforgettable over the years as for our very small town local high school as for pep rally we all went too or still go to and for all the state football championships that our very former MCA Football Coach Dave “Whitey” Williams has won for us over the many years as our head football coach as too for the coal bucket games as Mount Area Jr-Sr High School Red Tornado’s know as (MCA) football team has won times over over again of the coal bucket title that sadly Shamokin area high school Indians football team could not come to pass as Dave led the MCA football team with a full heart and a sharpe mind as Williams was the winning three PIAA Class AA state championships at Mount Carmel and compiling an overall record of 135-53-1 that earned the now 60-year-old a spot in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame yes Coach “Whitey” Williams as was called from his time at Mount Carmel Area who lives in (TAMAQUA, PA 18252) has been even on WNEP 16 NEWS for a time with Jim Coles to be like on air show to talk not only about MCA but other high school football teams to give his thought on them who as we must come to an end in 2002/2003 when our very own Coach Dave “Whitey” Williams has no longer our football coach but has touched so many lives in our Mount Carmel PA 17851 Football Town as we will look on for what our beloved Coach did and shown our kids that as our very own MCA Football Coach Dave “Whitey” Williams said there just a bunch of kids that i’ll never forget from his the news air back in 1996 as life Mount Carmel Area – Big Red Tornado’s will and can as life takes them go on and push there hardest to win championships again as they are that red death yes yes with that as the team gears up for a another football season for 2018 as we all shout: GO BIG RED !

  2. Did I say I didn’t understand why they play who they do? No. I said the fact they constantly bring up their win total in the state of PA is not that big of deal. Like I said they are a good small school team.

  3. They are among the win leaders because they play small schools. They would get crushed on the 3a level. They are a good small school team that plays other small schools.
