Chelsea will once again be heading into this summers transfer window in pursuit of a new striker.
According to The Telegraph, they will be prioritising a move for a big name striker, with Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland being mentioned at the top of the list.

To me, this says a lot, but it mainly shows the clubs intentions to immediately be up there challenging for the Premier League again next season, something they have been a little way off for some time.
Bringing in a marquee striker this summer will be a statement signing, and a statement of intent for a club that are looking to not only close the gap on the likes of Manchester City, but be up there with them.
Thomas Tuchel has not once mentioned ‘a project’ and he knows he has been bought in for the now. But he and the club will equally know that at the moment, they do not have a world class striker to lead that charge, and that is why they are prioritising one this summer.
Tammy Abraham is not fancied by Tuchel and looks to be off this summer, Olivier Giroud has always only ever been just a great backup option and he surely won’t renew this summer. So that leaves Timo Werner, who is currently fighting against his own lack of confidence in front of goal.
So the club know they must go out and bring in a Lukaku or a Haaland if they are want to give Tuchel a fighting chance to hit their collective goals next season and beyond.
