The good thing about climbing in Alaska during the summer is the 24 hour daylight. That means that when the weather starts clearing, the pilots can take advantage of an opportunity to fly. That was exactly the scenario for Peter Dale and our IMGD Team #3. It did not take them very long to get packed and assemble at the airstrip when they received word that weather conditions at Kahiltna Base were improving, and TAT was successful with their flight during the early evening. Now they are all on the Glacier! Back in Talkeetna Team 4 is doing their NPS briefing and gear checks today, and hoping to fly tomorrow. So far so good for our Denali teams!
