Yup, this one kinda startled me too. Let’s talk about what John Vogl published in The Athletic earlier this week, highlighting a few potential trades that the Buffalo Sabres could make to exploit other teams’ cap problems. This trade here with the Chicago Blackhawks is the most appealing one to me, as the idea involves superstar Patrick Kane being traded for Buffalo’s Sam Reinhart, Casey Mittelstadt, and 8th overall pick at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

The Buffalo Sabres pick for 8th overall would be in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

  1. Oh this is an actual chance guys Patrick Kane has said in the past he would love to end his career in Buffalo in a Sabres jersey according to Patrick Kane’s father’s friend best friend one of his best friends hell yeah

  2. Kane will be a Sabre. But it won’t be until he’s a 15 goal scorer. It’s going to happen, I’m just calling it like it is.

  3. Made it through three minutes before I decided that I’d just wasted three minutes of my life watching this absolute garbage report. Pro tip : don’t repeat other people’s garbage reports.

  4. Patrick kane is going to pick up number forty John Hayden and bring back number 40 John Hayden back home to the Chicago Blackhawks wearing number forty play with Andrew Shaw

  5. I as a Hawks fan would try getting the number 1 pick from the Rangers and reunite Kane with Panarin. Don’t know who else would have to come back to help with salary, but I would like to see a rebuild now while the d cor is young and there are many good forwards still in the mix. I would also dangle Saad to Buffalo and trade up to get the number one goalie available. By getting Saad and Kane off the books and getting the number 1 pick and the number one goalie, the Hawks might be good in 2-3 years down the road. Maybe get another high draft pick in the mean time. And I would let Bowman go. Now.

  6. I still think Buffalo would need to take on more salary from Chicago for this trade to even be talked about. Which the only players outside of Kane, Toews, and Crawford who make more than 4mil is Saad (6 mil), Keith (5,538,462), De Hann (4,550,000), Seabrook (6,875,000) and Maatta (4,083,333). You could also mention Shaw at 3.9 mil. I haven’t been following Chicago as much to say who would be worth the salary dump, but it would have to be in this range to make sense for Chicago long term.

I think it makes sense for Chicago to move on from Kane only in the sense of the salary cap. Since the team will need to sign Kubalik, Strome, Slater, Crawford, Subban, 7 minor league players, Saad (2021-22), Hagel (2021-22), Kampf (2021-22), 5 minor league players (2021-22), and Dach (2022-23). The salary is going to be very tight. With a projected cap space of 7,353,205 (capfriendly) for next season, having to sign their 7 minor league players, Crawford, Subban, Kubalik, Strome, and Slater there is no way Chicago can do this without dumping salary or letting players walk. Not saying that it has to be tied to this trade with Buffalo but something has to give within the Chicago organization.

  7. Interesting video . For sure , Buffalo is in a position to profit from others cap issues . But , why would Buffalo put themselves into cap trouble for a player who is soon to be 32 and likely will not produce as he did the last 10 years . The Pegula’s have pledged to have only high character people in the organization . Most of us still remember Evander Kane’s antics . I don’t think Patrick Kane would be the right fit and I’d be surprised if this happened .

  8. As great as it would be that Kane would go up to Buffalo there is no chance in hell Chicago would give him up to The Sabres of all teams

  9. it isn’t a rumor if you pull it out of your ass just to make a YT video. I think that’s called B.S.

  10. If you think Crawford resigning will attempt to force a Kane trade, you are soft in the head. Also, let’s not forget how Buffalo treated Kane during that BS rape fiasco. Doubt going to a team where the fans still call him a rapist is top on his list.

  11. Hahaha😂 NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. YOU CAN KEEP ALL OF YOUR SHITTY PLAYERS. KANER AIN’T GOING ANYWHERE
