Liverpool transfer news
In this article, we’ll cover all today’s Liverpool transfer news.
Aouar misses training
Liverpool are on the lookout for a midfielder this summer and one possible target is that of Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar.
Previously touted with a move to Arsenal in the summer of 2020 the Frenchman remained in Ligue 1 and had a difficult campaign.
His price is said to be considerably lower than the summer before and he has now reportedly skipped training in an attempt to force through a move.
Liverpool are credited with being one of the interested parties and could use the unsettled Frenchman’s situation to lower the valuation further.
However, Aouar has now come out and explained his absence.

Thiago was interested in Man United move
Rio Ferdinand has revealed that Thiago Alcantara once was interested in a move to Manchester United.
Speaking on his YouTube show, Vibe with FIVE Ferdinand revealed a conversation he had with the Spaniard.
“Before Thiago left Barcelona, he called me,” said Ferdinand.
“We played against Barcelona in the States on tour, and he was unreal. He was playing as the 10, and he scored a worldie. So we knew about him anyway, and a few years later, Moyes was manager.”
Having got his number from David De Gea he rung him.
“‘He rang me, and he said: ‘Rio, I would love to come to Man Utd. Can you speak to someone?’”
Persistent, Thiago rang again the next day,
“He ended up ringing me up next morning again, ‘I’ve slept on it, can you let me know about Man Utd, what’s going on?’ He said again, ‘I’ve got 24 hours to make a decision, otherwise Pep won’t take me to Bayern Munich’.”
Thiago did indeed end up moving to Bayern Munich where he became one of Europe’s best midfielders.
Liverpool’s Coman blow
Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Kingsley Coman with Bayern Munich saying they are looking to renew his deal.
“We’re in talks with Goretzka and Coman. Absolute top players want to be paid accordingly, we’re not naive about that. That’s perfectly fine. With us, there is a limit, which is very clearly defined,” said Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn.
“With [David] Alaba, you saw that at a certain point, we were no longer willing to go further. We don’t push into salary regions that don’t suit FC Bayern.
“We are in very, very good talks with both players. I am optimistic. We have a great package to offer here.
“They always have the chance to win big titles with us and can help shape an era.”
Liverpool may have a chance should Coman have demands higher than what Bayern are willing to offer.
