The Karate Kid movie clips:

Daniel (Ralph Macchio) is skeptical when Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) tells him to wax a series of cars during their first karate lesson.

Newly arrived in California from New Jersey, teenager Daniel (Ralph Macchio) almost immediately runs afoul of karate-trained high school bullies. He is rescued by Japanese janitor Miyagi (Noriyuki “Pat” Morita), who agrees to teach Daniel how to harness karate for good instead of brutality. The film culminates in a championship karate bout, pitting Daniel against his sworn enemy Johnny (William Zabka) — the cruel and thuggish boyfriend of Ali (Elisabeth Shue), with whom Daniel has fallen in love (and vice versa). Real-life karate champ Chuck Norris was offered the role of Kreese, the sadistic coach who goads Johnny into fighting dirty, but Norris turned down the role, refusing to be shown utilizing his skills negatively onscreen. Vastly popular, The Karate Kid spawned three sequels of rapidly descending merit, as well as a Saturday-morning cartoon series.

  1. Comes back about 10 hours later once its dark and teaches him properly. Been doing it wrong for hours haha

  2. You lost me in the first 5 seconds of the speech. So should you walk on the right or the left side of the street? Which one sensei?

  3. As soon as you hear the sponge hit the door, you hear the grit rubbing into the paint, like nails on a chalkboard

  4. There should be either a prequel series or movie of Mr. Miyagi’s adventures. Cobra Kai showed us that anything’s possible.🔥🔥

  5. Wax on wax off. That’s what I was saying when Miguel Diaz asked John Lawrence how he wanted him to clean the window. I started watching Cobra Kai for a week. Real good this far!

  6. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

    14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works

  7. The “karate do YES or karate do NO” line is trying to say that you either listen to everything your sensei (or martial arts teacher) tells you or you don’t listen to them at all. If you stand in the “middle of the road” or “karate GUESS SO”, then you cannot succeed in becoming a properly skilled karate fighter ! That’s just ONE of the things that the dialogue is trying to tell us !

  8. Mask On, Mask Off. You wear mask in public, Good. You don’t wear a mask in public, Bad. You will get coronavirus!

  9. The more you watch the Karate Kid movies, the more you realize this movie would never have worked or been this iconic if not for the chemistry between Ralph and Pat.

  10. You can call me immature if you want but when he said wax’s off I was laughing so hard. For perverted reasons obviously it’s just funny as hell to me lmfao. There’s no hope for me I’m a damaged soul lmfao.

  11. Every time I watch the Cobra Kai scene when Robby’s training at the dealership I can always hear Miyagi in my mind saying ‘wax on wax off’ ‘sand the floor’ ‘paint the fence’ ‘right circle, left circle’ and all those iconic lines
